"I didn't know what an executive was supposed to do. It was a nice word, but I thought it applied to guys in suits that worked in tall buildings. I didn't realize it applied to doctors and I didn't learn how to start and manage a business when I was in school. One of the first things I was exposed to on the Silkin program was how to be an executive and do things that an executive does. It has made me a very stable person. No confusions or problems come up that I don't have a pretty quick answer for. The result of learning executive skill is that we deliver a high quantity of high quality service and care to our patients and we all have fun doing it." "Before I started with Silkin I was working until
8:00 or 9:00 every night to finish what I had to do. Now we are
producing more than double the business and I leave when the office
closes at 5:30. Silkin helped us put in policies and procedures that
we strictly adhered to and it made all the difference in the world. We
had a situation with collections that was causing us big problems. We
put in new policies and ensured our staff was effectively trained to
collect. It made a difference to have a consultant advising us,
supporting the changes and staying on top of the situation." Read an interview with Dr. Montague.... |

| "Silkin really excels in the area of follow-up.
They stay with you as long as needed and they do what is needed to get
the results you want. From my point of view, that's really the job of a
consultant: to see that you actually implement the plans and programs
that take you where you want to go with your practice. That's where
they do a superior job over other firms I've looked into. They didn't
just give me a few good ideas and then leave it up to me to do
something with them. They didn't suggest anything that was merely a
temporary solution. They gave me specific, concrete 'nuts and bolts'
actions to implement and followed through with us until each one was
done." Read an interview with Dr. Robison.... |

" My staff used to come to me with their concerns about changes they felt needed to be made. I kept a list. I would write these items down, but I was so busy and running all over the place that nothing ever got done. Now we get things done! When we first began the Silkin program we could take an action that seemed rather easy or small and find that it made a huge difference. With a little bit of training, the person at the front desk was able to feel in control and no longer felt overwhelmed by the phones and patients. The increase in statistics followed." "Doing the Silkin program made the practice fun and it has made doing business fun. That's worth so much you can't put a price tag on it. There's more to having a practice than doing a surgery successfully or making someone happy. Those are important, but it's also important to be excited about what you do. I don't wonder if I should raise fees, hire an associate, change or add services, etc. I manage with total certainty now. My consultant has a personal interest in my business and well being and is always there to point me in the right direction." "Before Silkin my practice was growing every year, sometimes 10, 15 or 20 percent. Even though this was happening, I didn't feel I was making the money I could be making given the size of my practice. Silkin helped with my cash flow problem as soon as my consulting started. I began showing a profit every month and have shown a profit ever since I started, except for the first 3 months after I moved into my new office. This month I am showing a large profit and next month we are just going to practically blow the doors off. I'm excited. I may never have been able to build my own office without Silkin's help." "One aspect of Silkin's program that I believe is
superior to other management consultants is that they place a
tremendous emphasis on implementation. With them, it's not a case of
attending seminars, getting all "hyped up" and then going back to the
office only to find out everything is the same. Silkin makes sure
that the changes that need to occur in an office actually occur.
Implementing systems and procedures that improve the condition of the
practice is something they excel in." Read an interview with Dr. Zeringue.... |

"The reserve account we've built up has allowed us to
purchase things that we need. Not only is the gross income very good,
but just as importantly, the net has gotten much, much better.
Silkin taught me proper financial planning techniques and I don't
have to borrow money for things that we need. I've gotten a new
computer system, some new equipment and upgraded our whole facility out
of existing cash flow. Before, I had to keep the clinic open all the
time so we could make money. Now I'm in a position to close it down and
take my staff away for a few days of training." Read an interview with Dr. Moorehead.... |

"In the seven years I've been associated with
Silkin, I've gone from producing $198,000 per year to $1,500,000 per
year. Staff has increased from 4 people to 18 fully trained staff. I've
cut my hours from 4.5 days per week to 2.5 days per week. We averaged
17 new patients a month and now we do over 120 per month. We moved from
a 1600 sq.ft. facility to our current location, which is 4200 sq.ft.
Our growth has been about 20% per year. Prior to receiving my Silkin
education, I had been seeing a 2 or 3% increase over the previous year
and I thought that was just the way it would be. I thought a 2 to 3%
increase was an appropriate number." Read an interview with Dr. Neimi.... |
